Scottish Highlands: Summer 2016

I was lucky enough to visit the Scottish Highlands in the Summer of 2016. Being from Canada I’m used to stunning scenery, but I have to say that some of the landscapes quite simply took my breath away.

Spending just over a week in Scotland, I flew into Glasgow, spent a day there and then took the train up to Fort William, Lochaber. From there I travelled West towards Mallaig, and spent a day on the beautiful beach at Arisaig. I then spent three days in the Fort William/Spean Bridge area, before heading East to Aviemore to visit the Cairngorm mountains. Then it was back to Glasgow (via Perth) and a flight home to Canada!

Here are some of my favourite photos taken on my trip.

Loch Lochy, near Fort William, Scottish Highlands

View of Loch Lomond from the top of Connic Hill, near Glasgow

Beautiful little loch near Aviemore, Cairngorms, Scottish Highlands

I hope to get the chance to visit Scotland again someday. But if I don’t I’ll have the awesome memories I captured on camera to look back on.
